First Step of the Journey

Feb 28 – The First Step.  Today is the first step of our journey.  FedEx picked up some of our luggage for transfer to the ship.  I really like this because it means I don't have to handle as much stuff on our trip to the ship.  You can purchase this service on your own but Holland America Line gives it as a perk if you book early enough on Grand cruises.  It is a little disconcerting to see most of your belongings heading to the ship before you go but we've done it several times  before and it has worked fine.
