March 3 – Luggage Arrives I checked the FedEx web site today and found that my sent luggage has arrive safely in the HAL storage at the port. They put it in containers and the morning the ship gets into port they take the containers to the pier to be loaded onto the ship. Now I have to finish the rest of my packing so we will be ready to leave on Tuesday morning. Lot's of details to cover when you are going to be gone for a couple of months but we're old hands at it so it's not nearly as big a deal as it was 10 years ago.
We're sailing on Holland America's oldest and smallest ship the MS Prinsendam. At full capacity she carries almost 900 passengers. She's actually more ship-like than most of todays cruise ships. In the picture above she's in Boca de Valaria, Brazil on the Amazon River.
